Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the Yamunotri Temple in the 19th Century. The temple faced destruction twice in the present century but was rebuilt both times. One of the unique aspects of this site is the ability to cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot waters of the Tapt kund. Pilgrims often take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Besides, you can offer "Pooja" to Divya Shila, a revered rock pillar located near the temple before entering the Yamunotri Temple.
Surya Kund: Among the numerous thermal springs near the Yamunotri Temple, the most significant is Surya Kund. The thermal springs flow into various pools, creating a serene and unique environment for visitors.
Divya Shila: Divya Shila is a sacred rock pillar, worshipped by pilgrims before entering the Yamunotri Temple. This ritual holds a significant spiritual importance for devotees.
Yamunotri Weather: During the summer, the maximum temperature at Yamunotri reaches up to 18 degrees Celsius, while the minimum drops to 10 degrees Celsius. Days are pleasantly cool, perfect for exploring and pilgrimage, but nights can be quite cold, so appropriate clothing is recommended.

Vishwanath Temple
Vishwanath Temple is one of the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India. Re-constructed in 1857 by Maharani Khaneti Devi of Tehri State in the ancient architectural style, it is situated at the heart of the town. A massive iron trident, symbolic of the divine mother, has been erected and worshipped from time immemorial at the temple complex. The temple complex also includes small shrines dedicated to Ganeshji, Sakshi Gopal, and Markandeya Rishi. Akhand Jyoti as well as Akhand Abhishek, along with special aarti performed in the morning and evening, are important daily practices here. According to the Skanda Purana, Uttarkashi is known as 'Saumya Varanasi', the abode of Lord Shiva in Kaliyuga, and is counted as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.
Shakti Temple
Right in front of the Vishwanath Temple is the Shakti Temple. It features a massive 'Trishul' that stands about 6 meters in height with a circumference of 90 cm at the bottom. Though there are different views about its construction, it is generally believed that the upper part of the Trishul is made of iron, while the lower part is made of copper. According to the epics, this Shakti was thrown at the devils by the Goddess Durga (Shakti) and has been erected here ever since, lending the temple its name.

The name "Gupt Kashi" means "Hidden Benares." Mythology describes how, when the Pandava brothers were Finding for a glimpse of Shiva, Shivji first concealed himself at Guptkashi. In the morning, our driver will drop you at Sonprayag. From there, you need to take a local jeep to Gourikund, where your trek to Kedarnath Ji begins. After your darshan at the Kedarnath shrine, follow the same route back to Sonprayag.
Please note that there is a significant parking issue, so the driver may need to go to another location. In case his contact number is not working, you will have to arrange another taxi or wait for your driver and send a message to any other driver.
Kedarnath Shrine
The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a picturesque spot against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name for Lord Shiva. According to legend, after winning over the Kauravas in the Kurukshetra war, the Pandavas felt guilty for killing their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. Shiva eluded them repeatedly, and while fleeing, he took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. When pursued by the Pandavas, he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other locations, worshiped as his manifestations—arms at Tungnath, face at Rudranath, belly at Madhmaheshwar, and locks (hair) with head at Kalp

Ghangaria: Ghangaria is a small village positioned along the route to Hemkund Sahib, a revered pilgrimage destination for Sikhs, situated approximately 6 km from this point. Nestled in the northern Himalayan ranges at an elevation of 3,049 meters in the Uttarakhand state of India, Ghangaria offers a tranquil retreat for travelers.
The village is strategically located at the confluence of the rivers Bhyundar Ganga and Pushpawati, together forming Lakshman Ganga, which subsequently merges with the Alaknanda River at Govindghat. Notably, Ghangaria stands as the last human settlement in the Bhyundar Valley. This locale serves as a crucial base camp for visitors heading to Hemkund Sahib and the Valley of Flowers. Accessibility to Ghangaria is limited to the summer months from May to September, as the valley remains blanketed in snow for the remainder of the year.

Badrinath, one of the 'Ancient Four Dhams,' is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots in the country.
